The upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter for the second Fighter Pass is expected to be from Nintendo’s Switch-exclusive fighting game “ARMS”, which is said to arrive in the month of June of this year.
This information was revealed on March 26th by Nintendo from a video which was uploaded in Nintendo’s YouTube channel “Nintendo Direct Mini”. The fighter is said to be released in June but we have no prior information about exactly which character from the game will show up in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Hopefully we may come to know about the exact character in upcoming months.
The most recent DLC character that was featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was “Byleth” from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This was quite unexpected as it was an unpopular choice according to several fans.
The character from the ARMS is likely to be an unpopular one among the fans. The ARMS is a fighter game and an early title for the Switch that might mean that the popularity of the game has diminished among many fans especially with the rising popularity of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Many fans want Sora or Geno to feature as a DLC character in the game but it seems quite unreachable. If Nintendo wanted the people to pay for the second Fighter pass for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate then they probably would have started with a more appealing and a popular character but they didn’t do so.
When the announcement for Beyleth was made, Masahiro Sakurai said that a second Fighter Pass was on its way which is likely to include six fighters from DLC. These six characters are expected to be released by the end of the year 2021 so it was not expected by the fans that any new announcements would be made regarding DLC fighters.
