“Rising Of The Shield Hero” is a light publication by Aneko Yusagi with its origin from Japan. It has been developed into an anime series playing with dark fantasies. Initially, when the story came on air the streaming was only limited to a website called Shosetsuka ni Naro. It was also published as an online novel but after its publicity grew but later the publicity grew viral and it was turned in a series.
The series is produced by Kinema Citrus and directed by Takao Abo and was premiered from 9 January to 26 January 2019. It got an exceptional rating from the critics and was appreciated and loved by the viewers.
The first season of the Rising Of The Shield Hero had 25 episodes after which a statement from the makers came out confirming the sequel of the show. The showrunners also confirmed that season 3 of the show is under making as well.
There has been no update on the making of the season 2 but it is expected that there might be a few new entries along with the old ones like that of Raphtalia, Naofumi, and Filo in the upcoming season. There has been no trailer launch as well for the upcoming season which is generally a month of the release date. So all the viewers have to do is wait.
The plot of the story revolves around the hero Naofumi Iwatani. He is summoned by two parallel worlds and his considered the hero of both the worlds. But the twist in the story is that he only has one weapon which he uses and keeps with him as a defender. The most common thing in the story is that every character in the story has his signature weapon which is used and also keeps to defend himself.
The story of season 2 is expected to pick up from where they ended the first season. The first season was left with a mighty cliff-hanger when we came to know that Glass and L’Arc are also heroes from another world. In the second season, we are to see our heroes battle with himself and also if he’s able to overcome the battle or be caught up in his insecurities?
