Paris Games Week cancelled due to Covid-19


Hello there guys! By the way there is not so good news for you all. The Paris Games Week got cancelled due to the pandemic of Covid-19. The event was previously scheduled to take place in the month of October. The event will no longer occur this year. The organizers announced this on their official sites.

According to the organizers their team made this whole decision due to the “current context and the necessary anticipation of both the technical and logistical complexities of an event.” The organizers also said they have begun preparing for the new year’s event.

In the past the Paris Games Week has done some reveals such as to reveal the trailer for The Last of Us Part II in 2017. The expo is said to be one of the biggest in Europe.

The event typically hosts more than 300,000 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. This year it was said to be held from October 23rd to October 27th. This was meant to be the tenth anniversary of the Paris Games Event.

Microsoft announced that they will now showcase their new games and the features of the upcoming Xbox Series X which they themselves will host.

Paris Games Week not opting for digital-only event!

Many events are now getting conducted on the digital platform. Gamescom was the first to suggest the idea of digital replacement of the event. However, Paris Games Week is not opting for the digital-only events as they have not made any sort of announcement related to it.

Well, after the cancellation of the Paris Week, there are more upcoming cancellations on their way.
