The viewers got a huge leap in technology and particularly in the movie realms of performance in 3D when AVATAR was released in the year 2009.
The massive success of the first movie had already made its franchise on its way, but for some reason the Cameron’s were not in hurry for another blockbuster. But the tables turn around when the makers of the movie announced the making of the not only one but four sequels of the AVATAR movie. Another shocking thing was the budget of the four movies which was announced of 1 billion dollars. The four movies were to set on screens by the year 2020 but when Disney announced the Avatar universe in Fox merger decided to delay the avatar release to avoid its clash with the Star wars movie. The production of the movie was further delayed and the making of the sequel became more uncertain when the corona virus hit the production houses resulting it to shut.
The makers showed a glimpse of the level of technological level and action used in the sequel by releasing the video clip where they are shooting a fight sequence underwater with all special effects.
On the shooting coming to halt the director of the movie said “It’s putting a major crimp in our stride here,” Cameron said about the shutdown. “I want to get back to work on ‘Avatar,’ which right now we’re not allowed to do under state emergency laws or rules. So it’s all on hold right now. We were about to shoot down in New Zealand, so that got pushed. We’re trying to get back to it as quick as we can.”
The plot has not been disclosed, it remains a mystery has to what the makers have in their fold for the audience but one thing that is guaranteed is that the movie will be visually satisfying and engaging.
But according to the director of the movie AVATAR the best new here is that the shoot is nearly complete and the quarantine period has made everyone work at home with the special effects and editing. This means that even if everything is shut down the audience can expect the movie just in time for the release. The release of the movie is schedules in the late December of 2021 but the date of the release is yet not confirmed.
After all the delay we can see that Cameron is in a rush to get out the movie in theatres and screen as soon as possible as he can.
