Mark Cerny confirmed that: “PS4 graphics engines will run just fine on PlayStation 5”. There will be a legacy mode that will allow the developers to create PS4 titles for the next-gen console without losing any functions. The PS4 games will run on a better frequency and more enhanced graphics.
It was also said by PlayStation that only top 100 PS4 games will be supported on the PS5. The question that remains unanswered whether the PS5 will have a Smart Delivery like the Xbox Series X or not. This feature is beneficial for the users as they can upgrade to next-gen versions without wasting a bunch of money.
