Kingdom, the Korean feudal zombie fantasy series hits Netflix and has proved to be a perfect little binge. This Korean show takes the popular horror tropes and figures the zombie rules for Joseon Korea in a way that once again reinvigorates one’s interests in the horror sub-genre.
The kingdom is Netflix’s first original Korean series and two successful season already. This series is based on The Kingdom of the Gods, by Kim Eun-hee and Yang.
The series is engaging and ultimately satisfying. Set in a Korean dynastic kingdom in 1897 the series is a part historical political drama with an added layer of family drama mixed in it. The series was first aired on 25 January 2019.
Written by Kim Eun-hee and directed by Kim Seong-hun, the series stars Ji-Hoon Ju, Doona Bae, Kim Sungkyu, Hye-Jun Kim. Now the makers are ready with its third installment.
Kingdom Season 3: Cast
In the third season of the Korean series, Kingdom, Ju Ji-hoon is going to be Crown Prince Lee Chang, Ryu Seung-long as Cho Hak-Ju, Bae Doona as Seo-bi and Kim Sung-kyu as Yeong-shin joined.
Season 3: Plot
Kingdom has released two series as of now. Seo-bi’s story will be dealt with extensively bin the third season, as she had managed to escape with the young child and had submerged it in water.
The series is expected to pick up the plot will seven years and three months after the initial Zombie outbreak.
Kingdom Season 3: Release Date
Kingdom had first premiered in January 2019. While the second season aired in March this year.
As the production has been halted owing to the coronavirus pandemic, we can expect the series to premiere in 2021.
