Lucifer is one of that shows which was revived by Netflix after its huge fan following and appraisal, with the fourth season coming to an end not much is left in Toms Ellis life not emotionally not professionally.
But the news that was received said that fans had a mixed emotion that this could be the last season of the saga.
“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms,” said show runners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich.
There has been official statement on the release of the season 5 of the Lucifer.
The story of the series revolves around a devil called Lucifer who leaves hell and comes and lives in Los Angeles where he runs his own nightclub. He also becomes a consultant of the police for the state. He later gets involved in a murder case with detective Chloe. Throughout the series, several celestial and demonic threats come to Los Angeles; at the same time, Lucifer and Chloe end up appreciating and being happy with each other.
There will also be new faces and characters introduced in the season but nothing about them has officially been said or revealed.
The Expansion of the season will have 16 episodes on total. Lucifer The makers said that the season will be divided into two parts the first part will release and there is going to be a little break then they are going to drop another 8 episodes.
The shooting of the fifth season had however started September 2019 but by February 2020 the production came to a halt due to the widespread effect of the Corona Virus Pandemic. And after looking at the world wide situation it is nearly impossible to predict as to when the show will be resuming with its production. All of this can call of a delay in the release of the fifth season of the show.
Best case that we can look forward to the release of the show is the by the end of 2020 or early 2021.
Lucifer is to spend ample quality time with his god father in the finale season and the role of it will be played by Dennis Haysbert.
