Guardians of the Galaxy 3: Marvel fans! Some good news after a long time! While the MCU had come to an end with the release of Avengers Endgame and the death of beloved Tony Stark, it is far from over. Now with a number of releases planned over the next two decades, MCU is all set to take a punch with some more action and more play.
Guardians of the Galaxy‘s James Gunn has responded to a false report about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3‘s rumoured filming start date.
The director, who was originally pulled off the project but later brought back on, confirmed last month that filming for both Guardians 3 and his DC Suicide Squad sequel would not be affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
However, following rumours started on Reddit that a film production company website had Guardians 3 down for a February 2021 start date in Atlanta, James has now been forced to deny such claims — which he did via Twitter on Saturday (May 16).
“I’m getting sent this false posting of a start date and location for Guardians Vol 3 a lot over the past couple days,” he wrote.
“No, it’s not & was never accurate. I don’t know where it came from. Sorry.”
The clarification follows on from the director finally revealing the secret behind Groot’s language.
Meanwhile, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is due for release in 2022. James has previously revealed Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) will play a major role in the movie.
Groot voice actor Vin Diesel has also previously confirmed “some” members of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, which is currently scheduled for release on February 11, 2022.
